Please take the time to use my referral code if relevant, it helps me do more for others. Thanks

JOBS THAT REQUIRE A CAR
(OR WHERE A CAR MAKES THE JOB A LOT EASIER)

POSTMATES

Postmates is a gig that requires you to pick up merchandise, usually food, and deliver to customers. You are given a prepaid business debit card to perform the transactions that are not pre-paid. The amount you can make depends on many factors. Your effort, your location, and chance.

I haven't done this gig in over a year, but it was one of my favorites for a while. I have picked up dry cleaning, done grocery shopping, lots of food, smoke shops, and all sorts of things while delivering to some amazing places and meeting celebrities and such. It's not going to make you rich and it all depends on your community.

In some cities where demand is higher, they will offer some pretty good incentives to get you out there. In my neck of the woods, it doesn't happen too much.

As you can see, I have done over 5500 deliveries and watched the average pay per delivery fall over 50 percent since I first started in May 2015. You can blame Uber for that. Not only did they bring in more competition (and lower payments to drivers), they brought in the no-tipping and that really messed things up as they groomed customers to not consider a gratuity. When Uber and Postmates first began, they paid contractors a lot as an incentive, but then prices dropped. People still tip, but with less contact, you really need to make an effort to get that tip. It's the little extras, thanks a lot Travis Kalanick!

With Postmates you can opt to be paid instantly for a fee (but watch out for scams, watch this video to see how they steal your money, jump to 5:00 to hear the phone call) or in four to five days after your completed delivery(ies).

If you want to see me talk about the Postmates experience, visit my YouTube
Ubuyifly page. I offer advice on how to get the most out of your driving experience and things that I did that made me successful, while I did it.

ROADIE

This is one of my favorite apps although I haven't driven for them in a while. When I was active I delivered: luggage to Monument Valley through a blizzard, a large box of t-shirts to a band in Austin, TX that were heading to Alaska for the summer and a boat load of cookies (which has its perks).

Where I live (Phoenix) they have a contract with several airlines so there is an abundant amount of jobs not to mention all of the random ones that come up. This gig is great because there are jobs all over the country with the majority being in the East, see image.

As of this writing, they didn't have a referral program. The one they had before wasn't very good as you would be rewarded with Roadie credit, good if you want to ship something.

STRINGR (you don't have to have a license or a car, but it helps)

This is one of my favorite apps and depending on where you live, it can be lucrative. You will get requests for NEWS footage. You go shoot it, upload, and if it sells, boom! you get paid the next business day by Paypal.

I once was at a murder-suicide and sold 4 clips before I left the scene. I used to do this more but have been busy doing other things. This app works best when you get a call and you're in the area already.

If you take too long to get to a call, other people will be there shooting video but if it's a B-Roll (after the incident, just to take a look at the scene) then it doesn't matter when you go but the quicker the better.

WE GO LOOK

MERCHANDISER
This is one of my least used apps but it is a good way to make some income. There are several jobs at different retailers that require you to organize shelves and talk to store managers. Again, it depends where you live if there will be a lot of jobs or not. One time I worked for Budweiser and all
i had to do is walk into a Convenience store and take one image of a beer display. It literally took 3 minutes tops and then I was gone and that was $8 per stop. I was averaging 4 stops an hour.
